New ATmega32U4DIP breakout board

Exiting news, we've developed a breakout board based on the ATmega32U4 USB processor from ATMEL with a lot of features as standard on a very small footprint.

We are updating information and lessons for it at the moment, so watch progress.

Production volumes will be available during March.

ATmega32U4DIP features

Quick feature list

  1. ATmega32U4 processor
  2. Mini USB port for programming with FLIP and communication
  3. Standard 6 pin 2.54mm pitch ISP port
  4. Standard 10 pin 2.54mm pitch full JTAG debug/programming port
  5. Reset and HWB switches to set board in programming mode and reset to be able to program / run application without the need to recycle power
  6. Power and activity LEDs
  7. MicroSD card slot
  8. Hi power 3V3 SMPS
  9. Can be powered from USB port or external power supply, from 6V to 30V is fine.
  10. Regulated 3V3 out for external devices, can use 400mA + even when powered from USB as the SMPS is very efficient
  11. Standard 2.54mm pitch headers to fit on a single breadboard or strip (Vero) board
  12. Fully compatible with our free and open source tool chain, Studio4/5, WinAVR and FLIP. We keep to standard and professional C language and tools.
